ZanaA has a network mindset and seeks to work with like-minded partners to enhance impact. We wish to actually solve problems so that we can move on to others, not remain in the same groove for years, endlessly fundraising for the same thing.
Some of the partners we work with include:
SAPTA - work with alcoholism in Kenya, and have an office in Kibera. When we doubled the number of schools in which we lead Empowerment Groups, we started by asking them what schools they felt needed the most help, and went to those.
Victoria Institute of Science and Technology (partnership in development). VIST is promoting the $100 laptop. We are exploring modalities for distribution of the laptop during distribution of sanitary pads.
Silver Women - a women's group in Kibera doing great things to help women and children. Based in the Olympic village of Kibera
World Next Door - a non-profit based out of Indianapolis, Indiana, imbedding interns in social justice organizations to report on events on the ground in the war on poverty. They gave us our brilliant volunteer Christine whose photoblogs can be found on their site:

Teule Kenya - Formerly known as Homeless Children International - Kenya, this is the organization Megan worked with for 5 years. ZanaA takes some of their Secondary school graduates to become Junior Field Officers. Eventually most of the JFOs will come from the schools we serve, but for now we are meeting a real need to keep youth on the right track, invest in them, and help them to become the leaders they were created to be.
