Elizabeth Sidi is our Program Operations Coordinator at ZanaAfrica. Listen as she discusses the context in which ZanaAfrica operates, and the impact we create with our programs.

“In addition to the pads, the girls need information about their changing bodies and human rights. These are topics that are not normally discussed in the classroom, or even at home.  Topics like puberty or reproductive heath are considered taboo topics. You’ll find that most parents do not talk to their children about these topics.  As a result, pregnancies have risen shockingly high.”
